Hello friends,

With Winter still very much here and the cold of the North East very apparent, it's easy to feel like the summer is a million miles away. However very soon we will be shining a bright ray of sunshine to Northumberland as we open our first retail shop!

Since April 2010 we have been mostly an online based company, sharing our Italian coffee with internet users all over the world. As we have grown and gained momentum, we have pounced at the opportunity to serve our coffee locally here in the North East.

So watch this space! We will be delighted to welcome all of our customers and friends that we have grown to know since first importing Caffè Ginevra from the Southern Italian island almost 3 years ago. More news on the shop as the project gains speed!

What is yet to be decided however, is a name for our new shop. It will be a place to buy coffee beans, freshly ground coffee and other Ginevra goodies as well as being a coffee takeaway. So any suggestions of names from Ginevra-heads would be very welcome thank you!

A recipe we wanted to share with you this week has a Sicilian theme (naturally) and is not only simple but delicious too, which is the important bit. Blood oranges are in season on the island of Sicily at the moment and that is the reason for this particular recipe.

Try it, I'm sure you'll love it, find it here.

Thanks for reading and don't forget to send us your suggestions!

Anthony.
